Report: Eagles have made offer for Boldin

Update 2 (5:29 p.m.): Sal Paolantonio reports that the Eagles have made an offer for Anquan Boldin. Per Paolantonio, the Eagles offered a second-round pick in 2010, a third-round pick this season and Winston Justice. ESPN's Pedro Gomez, who is in Arizona, reports that the Jets and Giants have pretty much dropped out, but the Ravens and Eagles remain interested.

Update (4:56 p.m.): A league source tells The Inquirer's Bob Brookover that the ESPN report is "BS."

It's been more than 24 hours since we posted an Anquan Boldin item here at MTC so I figured it was time for another update.

This one comes courtesy of ESPN's Sal Paolantonio.

Two sources tell Paolantonio that the Cardinals have reduced their asking price for Boldin, which was originally a first- and a third-round pick. Arizona is now said to be looking for a second-round pick and other considerations.

The Eagles are among three teams that have shown new interest, according to the report.

The other two are the New York Jets and the New York Giants.

However, Cardinals GM Rod Graves told the team's Web site that the team could still bring Boldin back.

"We won't trade (Boldin) unless it's for commensurate value," he said. "...We are a strong football team with him, and the probability of him remaining with us is pretty high."

The question is -- what does Graves consider commensurate value?

Yesterday, an Eagles source told The Inquirer's Bob Brookover that the Birds were not in the mix for Boldin. But, of course, things can change quickly this time of year.
