There are conflicting reports on the Titans' potential interest in Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel.

A league source tells Terry McCormick of TitansInsider.com that the team has at least some interest in Samuel. But Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean says via Twitter that he's told the Titans are not interested at this time.

The key part of McCormick's report is that a source tells him the Eagles are seeking a third-round pick for Samuel, who turned 31 in January.

Samuel carries a 2012 base salary of $9.5M, but can still be a quality starter in the right system. Tennessee's pass defense was 20th last year, according to Football Outsiders' rankings, and the Titans lost Cortland Finnegan in free agency. They had just 11 interceptions, which ranked tied for 24th. Samuel has 23 interceptions in four seasons with the Eagles, including three last season.

Jeff McLane of the Inquirer wrote about the potential market for Samuel this morning, noting that he'd be open to restructuring his current deal.

Earlier today, I rounded up some mocks and offered thoughts on the draft.
