Report: McCoy fires Rosenhaus
Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has fired Drew Rosenhaus, according to a report by Jason La Canfora of NFL.com
If the headline on this post sounds familiar, it's because McCoy fired, then rehired Rosenhaus last month. Apparently, he's had a change of heart once again.
La Canfora's report came hours after Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk posted that McCoy and the Eagles had quietly been negotiating a new deal.
Rosenhaus, of course, also represents DeSean Jackson, who is in the final year of his rookie deal and has been seeking a new contract.
Jackson's contract runs out at the end of this season. McCoy is under contract through 2012. He's reportedly making $525,000 this season and will be due $615,000 in 2012.
McCoy just turned 23 in July, and it makes sense for both sides to get a deal done, although there wouldn't appear to be a major rush. Entering Sunday, McCoy led the NFL, averaging 107.7 yards per game. He's on pace for 1,723 yards, which would be a new franchise record, and is averaging 5.6 yards per carry.
