Interest in Bell, Baskett?
Are the Eagles showing interest in RB Mike Bell and WR Hank Baskett?
Interest in Bell, Baskett?

A couple links before we call it a night.
A source tells Adam Caplan of Scout.com that the Eagles are among the teams that have shown interest in free-agent running back Mike Bell.
Bell ran for 654 yards last season with the Saints, averaging 3.8 yards per carry and getting in the end zone five times. He wasn't a factor in the passing game, catching just four balls in 2009.
During his four-year career (two with the Broncos, two with the Saints), Bell's averaged 4.0 yards per carry. Not a lot of wear and tear with 348 carries. Bell has appeared in just 37 total games. He'll turn 27 in April and is younger than many of the other running backs on the market.

And the next one you're sure to get a kick out of. A source tells Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post that the Eagles are one of three teams to have interest in Hank Baskett. Baskett spent three-plus seasons with the Birds from 2006-2009.
He spent most of '09 with the Colts, but didn't have a role offensively, catching four balls for 28 yards. Baskett was unable to come up with the onsides kick at the start of the second half in the Super Bowl.

i don't know about safety, but Kendra certainly doesn't qualify for tight end anymore. wavydavy2000- they are gonna trade witherspoon and a 5th round pick to get brandon gibson back...McNabb just needs another weapon..and then they will have the "greatest roster ever" back intact
we need 'D'! LETS DO SOMETHING ALREADY!Dont worry about r 6th reciever sign a safety a LB a DE?What r the eagles doing? socalbirdsfan
Actually, Bell was pretty productive for the saints last year. He was very effective around the goaline. He runs hard and is still pretty young. It would be a good low radar pick up for the birds. tampaPhillyfan- "Sweet, a bottom of the depth chart RB" - Actually, Bell started a good chunnk of the season for the Saints while Pierre Thomas was hurt and was very effective as their primary back. But you know...don't let the facts get in the way of your argument. JLB
Baskett....next we will look at Pinky , then bring LJ in for another look. Thank God its baseball season. mick314- Baskett the opportunity to play with one of the greatest passers of all time, and couldn't even get on the field, Meanwhile, Manning can take a rookie and make him look great (Austin Collie). Yeah, Baskett will be a huge addition here. The missing piece.
- McCoy and Weaver are going to get the bulk of the carries, Bell can help out better than a brokedick Westbrook. Baskett is a good 4th or 5th guy and plays special teams. The team had o-line problems, not RB or WR problems. These moves make the depth chart better. Bradley, Jordan and Gaither, if they are healthy, can play LB. I would move Brown to safety, start Hobbs and Sammy at CB. Draft: C, DE, S, LB. The biggest proble is D-coordinator. McDermott was in over his head all year.
The fade route with Baskett worked. And If he can snag 6 of those, then his season is a success, and we can scratch off wide receiver for good. Dawks4Prez
the greatest roster in the NFL is getting better,....much better SyddBarrett
