T.O. signs with the Bills

UPDATE: Well, it's official. Terrell Owens will suit up for the Buffalo Bills next season.
According to Vic Carucci of NFL.com, Owens and the Bills have agreed to a one-year deal.
A source tells ESPN.com's John Clayton that the deal is worth $6.5 million, and is all guaranteed.
The Bills will be the fourth team Owens plays for after stints with the 49ers, Eagles and Cowboys.
In case you're wondering, no, Buffalo is not on the Eagles' schedule next season. The Birds take on the AFC West, not the AFC East.
So what do we think? Does this have any shot of working out?
From earlier:
Well, we didn't see this one coming.
Terrell Owens is in Buffalo to visit with the Bills, according to a report by Jay Glazer and Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com.
Agent Drew Rosenhaus said earlier this week that several teams were interested in Owens' services, and he expected to have a deal done by the end of next week.
Of course, his announcement came after several reports surfaced that T.O. was generating little interest after the Cowboys cut him.
My immediate thought about the possibility of Owens in Buffalo?
Poor Trent Edwards.
The Bills' starting quarterback threw 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions last season. Owens has trouble getting along with his quarterback when they are Pro Bowl-caliber. How is he going to react to a QB who has only started 24 career games and has a 79.1 rating?
A source tells FoxSports.com that the Bills would offer Owens a one-year deal.
I'll be sure to post updates throughout the weekend so check back.
- I'll have to be honest on a 1 year deal he is perfect as much as I hate him he will be perfect for the bills who now have lee evans and T.O which even with his diminished skill set is a lethal duo when you take into account that they have lynch at RB
Buffalo, now there's a reason to commit suicide. Speaking of cancers, it sure seems self-destructive for Laurie to support Obama, who supports ACORN, which in turn lays siege to Laurie's Main Line Mansion. No one ever sees the Inquisition coming, do they Jeff? ItalianSausage- This is priceless. I can't wait to see the idiot freezing his a-- off on the bench, in the balmy city of Buffalo. Buffalo, where they play that up-tempo, pass-first offense. I guess the people on this board who think he's so great can tell us who Buffalo outbid for this multi-year 8 figure contract. Wait, it's one year? Seven figures?... Bob1
I just hope that TO , who's probably got an IQ in the single digits, puts some of that money away . steve999
Comment removed.
I think Buffalo made a good move signing him to a 1-year deal. Betcha it works out well for Wilson and co... wokmaster
I also think this is a good move by Buffalo. Adding TO, and giving the one year contract which will guarantee he keeps himself in check if he wants to be playing anywhere next year, will put the Bills in the playoffs. With the moves the Bills have made, and the lack of moves we've made (addition by subtraction? I don't buy it anymore...gold standard, LAUGH!), I predict Bills fans will have a much more enjoyable season than us Eagles fans. We won't luck into the playoffs this year, but I'd wager we'll see the Bills make a deep run into the playoffs if Edwards lives up to expectations. Puddle Pirate
A lot of knuckle-heads on here. This is a good move for the Bills, even though Owens is getting old. I can't believe how people call this guy a team killer. The 49ers were 76-52 with Owens (25-55 since). Eagles were 17-5 with Owens (29-27-1 since). Cowboys were 31-17 in 3 years with Owens (25-23 the three years prior). In his career, his presence makes bad teams average and average teams good. Buffalo was average, now they are good. A plus for Owens is that they don't have idiot press up there and the fans will be happy to see some TDs. jtj06
I agree with the wire as well. If it had worked out with TO at the Linc, we'd have at least one Super Bowl trophy to treasure. Instead of being angry, I now find it humorous how Fat Andy runs a pass first (and second and...), but thinks his scheme doesn't require a #1 WR. I love DJac, but he's not going to be able to do it alone, and he's not big enough to get abused trying to catch Mc5's up, down, and behind throws all season. He's one Mc5 throw away from broken ribs. Puddle Pirate
Anyone who thinks that TO/Eagles fiasco was about money, doesn't get it. It wasn't about money with the Cowboys or with the Niners and Garcia.... If the Eagles gave him a new contract, whether he deserved it or not, I HIGHLY doubt that he would have kept his mouth shut all season. He would have continued to complain because McNabb didn't support him for a new contract or whether McNabb threw to him. The Cowboys are proof of the fact that money is not the only thing TO is after. androoo
His too high maintainence to be a good player. Imagine trying to manage him. What a nightmare that would be. erinrichie
The wires and his brilliant partner fg make the single stupidest argument ever. Give JO the money and he won't be a cancer. How did that work out in Dallas last year after the monster new contract he received? Talent alone does not win anything, I can't believe there are people? srill defending this ahole. mikeyboy
I guess Berman will have to change his adage: "Nobody cirles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills." JamesJ
December home games in Buffalo sounds good to me for 2. mikemaddog
all T.O does is put QBs in the pro bowl! this is the best thing to ever happen to Edwards. mongoS
