Mock roundup: Will Eagles take Moreno?

Here's a roundup of some of the mock drafts out there, with notes on who the Eagles are projected to select.

There are obviously hundreds of mock drafts online, but I tried to hand-pick the ones from some of the major sites.

With less than four days remaining, the majority of draft pundits believe Georgia running back Knowshon Moreno will be the Eagles' pick.

Here's the roundup:

Wes Bunting of The National Football Post has the Eagles picking Moreno with the 21st pick:

Brian Westbrook turns 30 this year, and the Eagles should be in the market for his future replacement. Enter Moreno, one of the most instinctive running backs in years. He offers a rare blend of vision, balance and quickness at the line and also does a nice job in the receiving game.

SI.com's Don Banks has the Eagles taking Moreno:

The Eagles have good options with their two first-rounders (21 and 28), but getting a running back to help lighten Brian Westbrook's load looks like the need to take care of first. Then Philly can use its second No. 1 to get one of best remaining offensive tackles.

Scott Wright of draftcountdown.com has the Eagles selecting Moreno:

There is a chance that Knowshon Moreno will be long gone by this point but running backs do tend to slide a bit and unless a team goes against the grain and takes one even though it's not a glaring need, a la Pittsburgh with Rashard Mendenhall last year, he could still be available.

Chris Steuber of FoxSports.com has the Eagles picking Moreno:

With Brian Westbrook having injury problems and being 30, the Eagles have to think about a RB of the future. Moreno is the perfect successor.

Pat Kirwan of NFL.com has the Eagles going with Moreno:

The Eagles solved their tackle concerns with the trade for Jason Peters and the signing of Stacy Andrews. The Eagles can now take the eventual replacement for Brian Westbrook.

Charles Davis and Steve Wyche of NFL.com also have the Eagles taking Moreno. Jamie Dukes has them taking Oklahoma State tight end Brandon Pettigrew.

Evan Silva of NBCSports.com has the Eagles picking Ohio State running back Chris "Beanie" Wells:

Wells has been projected as high as No. 6 to Cincinnati, but two-down tailbacks don't frequently go in the top half of the draft. Beanie's impressive offseason could vault him somewhere in the top 20, but if not the Eagles can't possibly pass. Brian Westbrook would be better suited for a Marshall Faulk-like late-career role with Wells as Philly's lead back.

Profootballtalk.com has the Eagles selecting Ohio State running back Wells.

The Sporting News has the Eagles taking South Carolina tight end Jared Cook.
