Mock drafts: Who will the Eagles take?
Sheil Kapadia, Philly.com
Earlier this week, I linked to Mel Kiper's first mock draft. He had the Eagles taking Wisconsin offensive tackle Gabe Carimi.
Here's a look at a few others that have popped up:
ESPN.com's Todd McShay also has the Birds taking Carimi:
The Eagles have been up-and-down with their offensive line picks in recent years, but while Carimi has some limitations athletically there is little doubt in my mind he's NFL-ready and will be a quality starter at right tackle for the next 10 years. He's the most technically sound and consistent lineman in this year's class.
Andrew Perloff of SI.com has the Eagles taking Texas cornerback Aaron Williams:
Opponents too easily picked on whoever wasn't being covered by Asante Samuel last season. The Eagles would be very happy if the Longhorns corner was still available.
Rob Rang of CBSSports.com has the Eagles taking Miami cornerback Brandon Harris:
The Eagles feature one of the league's best corners in Asante Samuel, but have struggled with consistency on the other side without journeyman Ellis Hobbs, who missed almost half of the season with a career-threatening neck injury. Harris struggled early on in the Sun Bowl loss to Notre Dame, but his speed and agility make him one of the draft's top corners and a good value here.
TITANS' SEARCH FOR A COORDINATOR
The Titans fired their defensive coordinator, Chuck Cecil, earlier this week. And while Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean calls it a longshot, he said the Titans are interested in Jim L. Mora. Mora, of course, was mentioned in connection with the Eagles' and Broncos' openings, but withdrew his name from consideration for both opportunities.
Per Wyatt, Eric Mangini has emerged as a candidate for the Titans.
The Eagles, meanwhile, are expected to interview Saints defensive backs coach Dennis Allen today.
And finally, if you missed it from Friday, I posted a piece about Brandon Graham's production as a rookie.

- Sheil- I have a buddy who owns a small business- when somebody owes him money and won't pay he has one line that always works- "COURT? I don't go to COURT to resolve things!" That's it. Take it for what it's worth! BIRDS--Sign Asomugha and draft Carimi!
Comment removed.
Sheil: You have a lawyer? Have him send the guy a calm but threatening letter on his firm's letterhead. You'll have your money back in a hurry. DCSS215- DCSS215 is right. A letter from your lawyer is the next logical step. In general, people don't want to get sued...Also, report him to the BBB and any other business watchdog organization that is available.
Take him to small claims court to get your money back. Be sure you have all communications with him documented. I would even send him a certified letter requesting your money back so you have proof that you contacted him. Although, you must have some kind of a contract with him, and if it says no refunds, then you may be out of luck. ej610- Hey EJ - I would think that since he was paid to do a job that he didn't perform on, that he is in breach of contract for a lack of performance. Since he did not perform the requested services either a) perform requested service or b) pay back the money. But you're right, if he said no refunds the only thing he could do is go to court and have them force him to give the lessons.

Sheil... Quick story. Two monks with silence vows walking through the forrest come across a woman who needs to cross a stream. First monk picks her up and carries her across, puts her down and the monks continue home. Late that night monk #2 bursts into monk #1's room and screams "Brother how could you violate our purity laws and touch a woman and carry her!" Monk #1 says "Brohter I carried that woman for 10 seconds, you have carried her for 10 hours". My point? Let it go....you got your pound of flesh just by putting the clowns name up here. You go to court, you waste more time, money, ag, and for what? A civil judgment with no teeht to enforce. Or you could just break his legs. tjpup- Great advice for life's problems in general, tjpup! Fortunately in this situation, there are steps SK can take to try and get his fiancee's money back...but yeah, I think that's a great approach in life! If you let someone else's issues fester in your thoughts, then it becomes your issues.
these mock drafts are a joke! kiper should mock himself a new hair stylists!i can make a prediction right now. the birds will trade away all their top picks until the 7th round and at the end will have more picks than everyone else and therefore will be declared the winner! if there is an undersized de/dt bet the house that the birds will take him and you'll be an instant winner! it's a moneymaker, you can't miss! Geno D- i just posted a warning on one of his youtube videos - we should all do that.
small claims court may get you a winning decision, but not necessarily your money back - beacuse the courts cant actaully force him to hand you cash or write you a check. went thru that with a dirtbag pool guy.
also, you know from sports that the refs usually only catch the retaliation so pls be careful of 'street' payback; so you dont really wnat to start trashing his lawn if u know wher he lives.
and certainly you wont want the lessons any more after he's already proven to b so sketchy.
ill call him later too to ask him what the problem is - if we all do a littel of that he will be quickly overwhelmed i bet.
good luck SK daveH - Hah. He has closed his YouTube account...

I would put the scum bags name up once a week as a reminder until he sends your money back. Also report him to the BBB - it will come up any time someone googles him puddin
Send a simple email to all of the golf pros at the area country clubs and major public courses. Should be easy to find online. Let them know that you have an unresolved dispute with this person, nothing more, no invective. That should curtail any future business. jimmyj
SK, definitely small claims court and notify BBB. No lawyer needed for either and judges ruling is binding. Don't just walk away, that's what he wants. In the future it's good to check consumer reviews and BBB ratings when money is forked over in advance. It prevents just this type of thing. Big fan of tripadvisor.com for long distance reservations and user experiences. Weeds out the bad guys.
BTW, thanks for your work. Always unbiased and no hidden agendas. You just lay out the facts and let people make up their own minds. tpizza
Sheil, with all due respect, break your engagement. Buying golf lessons from a guy who has a first name one cannot pronounce shows poor judgement! JBP
