McNabb makes himself at home

Donovan McNabb practiced with the Redskins today and received glowing reviews from his teammates.

"Donovan's outstanding. It feels like he's been here for a couple of years," said tight end Chris Cooley, per Rick Maese of The Washington Post. "Instantly, he's a leader. Instantly, he knows what it takes to have a team together. He's talked with all the guys, fits in extremely well."

Added wide receiver Malcolm Kelly:

"Right away, it's almost like he's been here. It's almost like he got the playbook when we got it. It's crazy because he knows everything. He already knows the concepts and things like that and he's just been here two or three days. You can tell the way he carries himself and the way he is on the field that he has a lot of confidence. And that spreads to the rest of the guys out there on the field."

Tim Tebow was also reportedly in attendance at the practice. Paul Domowitch has a good post on the Eagles' interest in Tebow over at Eagletarian.

One interesting theory making the rounds today is that the Eagles didn't mind dealing McNabb to the Redskins because they are high on Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford and didn't want him to end up in Washington. Per Pro Football Talk, multiple league executives told ESPN's Adam Schefter that the Birds wanted to block the 'Skins from getting Bradford.

What do you think? Buying this one?

And some other links to pass along:

* Andrew Brandt over at National Football Post makes the comparison between Aaron Rodgers and Kevin Kolb. Brandt served as vice president of the Packers and worked with the Eagles as a consultant last year. He poitns out that the Packers gave Rodgers a new deal seven games into his career as a starter.

Writes Judge: You don't send players of McNabb's magnitude to places where they can hurt you ... unless, of course, you don't think they can hurt you. And I have to believe that's what's going on here.
