McNabb in walking boot

Donovan McNabb wore a boot on his left foot to Monday morning's Redskins practice after suffering an injury Saturday night against the Ravens, according to reports.

"I really didn't know how bad it was," Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said, per The Washington Post. "I still don't really know how bad it is. He's getting treatment. We'll just kind of figure it out day-by-day."

McNabb had an air cast on his ankle during the afternoon practice, according to the article.

He had a rough go against the Ravens, completing 11 of 26 passes for 206 yards and an interception. McNabb told reporters after the game that he was just a little sore but didn't expect to miss any practice time.

The Redskins take on the Jets Friday night. The Jets, of course, bloodied up Eli Manning last week so maybe giving McNabb the night off isn't such a bad idea.

KING ON THE EAGLES

SI.com's Peter King had a few Eagles-related items in his Monday Morning Quarterback column today. He predicts 85 catches for Brent Celek and said he was impressed by Dimitri Patterson and Brandon Graham Friday night.

King also responded to comments Asante Samuel made to Geoff Mosher of the Wilmington News Journal, in which the Eagles cornerback said Bill Belichick had something against him while he was in New England:

That's absurd. Belichick simply didn't value a corner who didn't tackle well as being a $9-million-a-year player. Smart move on his part. Samuel's a very good player, but he isn't near what all-around corner Darrelle Revis or Nnamdi Asomugha are, and his awful fourth quarter against the Giants helped cost the Patriots what would have been a Super Bowl title. Teams throw at Samuel far more than they throw at Revis or Asomugha.

EAGLES AND FANTASY

I had a fantasy draft over the weekend. Here's a look at where the Eagles players went in our league:

DeSean Jackson was taken in the third round and was the eighth receiver off the board. The first seven were Andre Johnson, Randy Moss, Miles Austin, Larry Fitzgerald, Reggie Wayne, Roddy White and Calvin Johnson.

LeSean McCoy went a round later in the fourth and was the 19th running back selected.

Brent Celek and Kevin Kolb both went in the sixth. Four tight ends were taken ahead of Celek: Dallas Clark, Antonio Gates, JerMichael Finley and Vernon Davis.

And finally, Kolb was the eighth quarterback taken, behind Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Tony Romo, Matt Schaub and Philip Rivers.
