While the Eagles remain quiet in terms of signing free agents, here's a roundup of some of the latest league-wide buzz.

And if you're looking for Evan Mathis updates, Jeff McLane of the Inquirer has that covered.

Meanwhile, the Peyton Manning tour continues. John Elway and Broncos officials worked Manning out at Duke University yesterday. But two other teams - the Titans and 49ers - are still in the mix. Per Mike Klis of The Denver Post, all three teams are comfortable with Manning's contract demands, which could include between $18M and $22M per season.

Jonathan Hutton of 104.5 The Zone in Nashville reports that Manning will work out for the Titans on Saturday at an undisclosed location.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter revealed yesterday that the 49ers are in the mix for Manning's services as well. Per the report, Manning worked out for San Francisco in Duke last Tuesday. With a healthy Manning, the 49ers, who boast one of the league's best defenses, would be among the Super Bowl favorites in the NFC next season.

As for a timetable, Albert Breer of NFL Network reports that Manning has told teams he will make a decision by Monday or Tuesday.

Two teams you no longer see mentioned in the Manning sweepstakes are the Cardinals and Dolphins. According to reports, he's told both clubs that they're out of the running. That means Kevin Kolb received his $7M roster bonus, which was due Friday afternoon. Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic explains how the Cardinals could restructure Kolb's deal so to reduce the cap hit in 2012.

It's been less than eight months since the Eagles traded Kolb to the Cardinals. He arrived with the intention of being Arizona's franchise quarterback for years to come. Now, it's no certainty that he'll start over John Skelton next season.

In non-Manning news, Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports reports that safety LaRon Landry plans to meet the Patriots, Jets, Lions and one "mystery team." He says the Bears are still interested, but does not mention the Eagles as a suitor.

Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune expects running back Mike Tolbert to land in either Carolina or Pittsburgh.

And finally, the Patriots and wide receiver Brandon Lloyd are close to reaching an agreement, according to Shalise Manza Young of The Boston Globe. I had Lloyd ranked behind only Vincent Jackson in terms of free-agent wide receivers. He'll be a good fit with Tom Brady and the Patriots, if he signs there.
