Making sense of the Eagles inactives

Eagles running back Jerome Harrison will be active for the first time since the Birds acquired him from the Browns in mid-October.

Running back Jerome Harrison is active for the first time as a member of the Eagles.

The Birds acquired Harrison from the Browns for Mike Bell on Oct. 13, but he was inactive in the two games leading up to the bye against the Falcons and Titans.

Here are the Eagles' other inactives: Mike Kafka (third QB), Chad Hall, Joique Bell, Ellis Hobbs, Daniel Te'o-Nesheim, King Dunlap, Reggie Wells and Clay Harbor.

Hall had been on the field for the last three games, but with the Eagles' four top receivers all healthy, he will not dress today.

With Hobbs sidelined, Dimitri Patterson gets the start, and rookie cornerback Trevard Lindley, who has been shuffled on and off the active roster, will dress.

Another rookie will get a chance to dress for the first time this season: Keenan Clayton.

Te'o-Nesheim had been active the previous two games and was on the field for a handful of snaps, but he'll be inactive today.

On the offensive line, Jason Peters is back in the starting lineup, and Wells is inactive. The Eagles have just two reserve linemen: Austin Howard and Nick Cole.

On the defensive line, Brodrick Bunkley is active for the first time since suffering an injury against the 49ers in Week 5. But Antonio Dixon, who turned in an outstanding performance against the Titans, will get the start.

If you missed it, earlier I posted on Michael Vick's interview with CBS and some things to look out for.

I'm at the Linc and will fire up the live chat at 4:15 p.m.
