Apparently a lot of people are asking wide receiver Jeremy Maclin if he'll join Donovan McNabb to work out in Arizona before training camp.

But the Eagles' first-round pick said he needs to talk to McNabb first.

"I haven't figured that out yet," Maclin said in response to a reader's question on ESPN.com. "Everyone's been asking me that. I've got to speak with Donovan."

As Les Bowen and Jeff McLane pointed out on their respective blogs, McNabb is back in Philly for next week's OTAs, so Maclin will have his chance to talk to Donovan soon enough.

Earlier this offseason, fifth-round pick Cornelius Ingram said he planned on joining McNabb in Arizona.

Meanwhile, Bowen wrote in yesterday's Daily News about former slam dunk champ Byron Parker, who's in camp with the Eagles. Below is the YouTube video of his dunks while at Tulane. Fast forward to the 0:56 mark.

Seriously? You guys are now trying to make a big deal out of this? This is the same kid who was calling McNabb, "Mr. McNabb" when interviewed by Spadaro right after he was drafted. He's just being polite and making sure he has Donovan's ok and permission to go out to Arizona to train with him before he tells the media that he's definitely going. Give me a break. You guys are trying to spin this to make it sound like Maclin doesn't want to go or something. No wonder the coaches and players hate talking to the local media. Nothing but nonsense and artificially created "controversies" coming from you guys.

Yeah, because Dave Spadaro's unofficial depth chart means so much.

MCNABB SHOULD HAVE BEEN HERE IN PHILLY AT THE VOLUNTARY CAMP WORKING WITH MACLIN, INGRAM AND MCCOY THIS WHOLE WEEK... NO EXCUSES, IT WOULD HAVE SHOWN LEADERSHIP AND COMMITTMENT IF MCNABB VOLUNTARILY SHOWED UP.

Maclin has a depth chart spot, there is some mistake and they just spelled his name R-E-G-G-I-E B-R-O-W-N.

PHILLY10 even though you don't deserve a response for your utter stupidity I will give you one anyway. This past week and the week before was a campe for ROOKIES and SELECTED VETS only. McNabb along with about 20 other veterans were not there because they were not supposed to be there. It was a camp so the young guys get extra reps and direct one-on-one coaching.

Sheil-cmon-how did you miss this? Former Cowboys DC Stewart to join Eagles May 30, 2009 4:07 PM Posted by ESPN.com's Matt Mosley Former Cowboys defensive coordinator Brian Stewart will soon join the Eagles' coaching staff, according to a league source. Stewart was the the defensive coordinator under Wade Phillips when the Cowboys went 13-3 in 2007, but he was stripped of his play-calling duties midway through the '08 season. Phillips fired Stewart a few days after the team's humiliating 44-6 loss to the Eagles.

It's absurd that the same people on here who cry that "All Kolb needs are those reps that McNabb gets in practice, and he'll have a better chance to succeed" are the same people bellyaching that McNabb isn't here (thus taking away Kolb's reps). Sheer lunacy.

Wondo, Philly10 didn't get it before, he won't get it now. Nice try though.

Maclin may not be on everyone's depth chart, but he'll be on the field, and not just as a returner. He may only see 5 plays a game, but they'll use him to stretch defenses. As ipromise says, one of the tougher adjustments for our receivers is grabbing balls off the grass or out of the sky. And I say that as a McNabb fan. If McNabb would throw the ball on target to guys like Jackson and Maclin, they'll routinely run for 30 more yards.
