This front office is ill prepared to deal with this situation. They had six months to get ready for all scenarios and they still can't get it right. Most of the draft picks that will do absolutely nothing to help this team this year are signed but not one FA move? Coincidentally the rest of the division has made moves and coincidently they all possess Lombardi trophies as well.

Shiel I know its only been 2 days but, where is this aggressive plan the FO mentioned. I don't see. This team isn't good enough especially on the defensive side of the ball to just sit on their hands. Why do they say things to the fans that clearly are not truthful. They say the goal is to win a super bowl, show me the proof.

I just don't get it. This front office, including the head coach, has no respect for "time". Time outs, clock management, off-season, and time for negotiation. If you have a player or two that you want, go get 'em. Don't "wait" or let the process "time out". If there is truth to the rumor that we'll know Friday about the Kolb trade, more FA's will be signing elsewhere. If AZ decides they don't want Kolb, the market's closed. Ray Edwards said he's "waiting" for the right offer. Give him a reason not to, because your plan B's and C's are signing elsewhere. Banner & Co have gotten entirely too comfortable with themselves and how they operate over time. Time's up and it's not yours.

What "moves" have the rest of the division made? By the way, do you realize that any "moves" in FA that the team makes, the guys that are acquired can't even practice until August 4th? They can't even sign a player until Friday so it is even possible that they have agreements with players and the crack local media just hasn't gotten wind of it. Let's hold judgment at least until free agency becomes official, can we at least do that?

At least Babin should bring more energy to Washburn's D Line...

Nice to see Babin back, maybe this time they can do something with him and not embarrass themselves. Cole is going to love this season...help on the other end, a system designed to make him a star, and when DRC finally gets locked up, a secondary that can buy him time. This should be the last year he is underrated.

Despite his age, Babin is not that expensive a signing. This could point to the Birds looking to make a more impactful move on the defense.

So all you haters.... IF by tomorrow, the birds make the Kolb trade for DRC, have signed Babin, bring in a starting LB would you then be ok with the START of the offseason? That would mean you brought in a top notch corner opposite Samuel, brought in a good compliment to Cole, upgraded the LB, upgraded the OL and still have money and time left. I'd say that would be a good start with back-up QB and secondary left to fill. RELAX haters, go on the Cowboys board.

Leeagles - how's the kool-aid? Maybe I am in the minority but, I am tired of being told we are "gold standard" and being "close" and not winning a damn thing. At the end of the day the goal is to win a super bowl. In 12 years under this regime they have not done that so either go ALL IN or go a different route. I don't care about regualr season wins or playoffs apperances they mean NOTHING!!

Leeagles is Right, briandawkins20moron yes the ultimate goal is the superbowl but haters like you griping about the gold standards and saying the playoff appearances mean nothing need to go back to the days when we were the joke of the league. We will win it if we stick with Reid. The FO isn't cheap 100 million annual payroll. Bet you dont have 100 dollars in the bank dude.

The Redskins are making bunches of moves, as always. Y'all should go root for them. They'll be 6-10 this year, but they'll make a lot of hasty changes, which is what matters, right?

Zeedog - sorry you feel that way I will take the Florida Marlins approach any day of actually winning a championship and having something to show for your efforts. If being an also ran is what you shoot for in your life cool thats not me. I have had season tix to the Eagles probably longer than you have been alive so really you need to realize that with this FO and Andy Reid they will never win a chanpionship. Will they continue to put out a decent product probably, a playoff team more than likely, but, a championship team not likely. I am not hater I am a realist. Sometimes change isn't a bad thing you should try it. Now holler upstairs to your mom and tell you will be a big boy today and get your own lunch. Don't you feel better now?

Same old Eagles trick or ruse: issue the statement "we will be active
in FAs" I guess they mean getting rid of all their own, then sign
a mid range FA, back load all the money, cuz they never plan on him
being here longer than a year or two, sign a bunch of SCRUBS dirt
cheap, bring back an Eagles from the past, beyond his prime for
P.R. expect Westbrook signing and that is their "active in FAs."

Also why Lurie bought the team for 300 mil and it's now worth
over a billion, but he hasn't come close to smelling a Lombardi
Trophy. He knows all the saps here will pay pay pay anyway.

He sees this team PURELY as a business where an owner like
Kraft or Jerry Jones or Mark Cuban in basketball, it's their
    life PASSION, money is secondary.

Money is NEVER secondary with Lurie, and never will be!

Zeedog - good comeback - let me try to understand my mother (whose age is unimportant) is at your parent's house, in their basement with their loser son and I am suppose to be offended. HA good one!! I will talk to my mother and tell her i think she can do better! Like your football knowledge your attempts at being funny are weak at best.

Next move (no brainer) nail down Vince Young as backup qb; groom him as the next Vick. I believe the Titans released him today so no trade is necessary!

I'm so tired of all the eagles are cheap comments. First off, there is now a salary floor in the league, so they have to spend money. Also what about TO, Kearse, Runyan, Hugh Douglas, Asante, Troy Vincent, Peters, Ricky Watters and so on. Not to mention their history of lucrative long term deals to their own players. Has Reid and co. won it al? No. Do they need to get it done soon.Yes. But we're in the title hunt year in year out and the fans of the vast majority of the other teams in this league would kill for even the success the Reid administration has had here. But you idiots won't be happy until we see perfection year after year from both the birds and the Phils. On a side note, it speak volumes that some of you make a priority out of posting the same word for word comments on every single article on this site day after day after day. I'd hate to have to your lives. Do us all a favor and take a walk off the side off the Walt Whitman

I'm sorry but until they fix the problem at right offensive tackle imo its not a successful off season. Now that Kolb is gone the Eagles need to protect Vick like their season depends on it because it does! I believe Clabo is still available! Get him!
