Update: Les Bowen of the Daily News and Bob Brookover of the Inquirer have more details on the injuries. Bowen reports it's a sprained left shoulder for Trent Cole and a sprained left knee for Kevin Kolb.

Brookover just came over to report that Kolb's injury is the more serious of the two, and he will have an MRI later today.

Cole came out of the locker room in a t-shirt and shorts after practice. He talked briefly to athletic trainer Rick Burkholder, pointing to his shoulder, but did not seem to be too concerned.

Defensive end Bryan Smith said he didn't know Cole left practice until coaches yelled at him to run with the first team.

From earlier:

I thought I missed a pretty busy weekend at Lehigh, but the eventful training camp for the Eagles continued this morning.

Around 9:15, Kevin Kolb limped off the field with what appeared to be an injury to his left knee or left leg. Kolb headed to the trainer's tent, where he was examined. He then was carted off the field to the locker room.

While Kolb was being looked at in the trainer's tent, defensive end Trent Cole also left the field. Cole was walking fine but was also carted off the field to the locker room. ESPN 950's Brian Seltzer noticed attention being paid to Cole's arm.

Earlier in practice Sheldon Brown got up slowly after breaking up a pass intended for Jeremy Maclin. Brown kneeled on the sideline, but then returned to the field about 10 minutes later. We'll update with specific details on the injuries as we get them.

Note: Post dictated to Danny Abelson by Sheil Kapadia from the field.

Does anyone else see that the true story here is Cole. Who is going to rush the QB if he goes down? They sure wish they gave up that 3rd and 5th pick for Burgess now.

I was there on Saturday. The practice wasn't as crisp as you would expect following a day off. But Feeley and Kolb stood out to me, in a bad way. Kolb looked phenominal in the warmup drills with no D-line, but once the lights went on and things went live he was indecisive and inaccurate. It was kind of the same with Feely, although feely looked better overall. But on a heavier note, the hits just keep coming this summer. If there is anything seriously wrong with Cole, the pass rush could take a severe dip.

When are one of these sports "journalists" going to print the real story about the laughable conditioning and training staff? We can't have a team meeting without someone tearing a ligament. It's awful obvious that these players are not in the shape necessary to compete at a professional level.
