Jackson vs. Jenkins talk continues

POSTED: Wednesday, January 6, 2010, 3:30 PM

Earlier this week, DeSean Jackson tweeted his thoughts on the Eagles' upcoming matchup with the Cowboys.

On Tuesday night, he used another medium, UStream, to voice his opinion.

Jackson was taking questions from fans, when someone must have brought up the name of Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins.

"Mike Jenkins ain't never shut me down so y'all chill out over there," Jackson said. "Them boys are scared of me. I'm a dual threat on that field. They be having like four people on your boy out there. But it's all good, you know. I probably get man coverage like 10 percent out of every game. I like them odds though. I'll take that."

Jenkins, however, disagreed when asked about Jackson's comments.

"It's been a lot of talk, too, about double-covering or triple-covering this guy," Jenkins told ESPNDallas.com. "I haven't seen it yet. We single it up. We call [man] every play. There's one man on him and we're just sitting in it.

"We're holding our own and that's pretty much it. We're holding our own. That's pretty much it. We're not doing anything special for him or anybody else."

Jackson's numbers against the Cowboys have been well-documented: five catches for 76 yards in two games.

He had a chance for a huge play in the second quarter, getting behind the Cowboys' secondary, but Donovan McNabb overthrew Jackson. On Saturday night, he'll get another chance.

Jackson, who tweaked his groin against Dallas, was not on the Eagles' official injury report today.

Earlier today, he was named NFC Special Teams player of the month for December. He won the award in September also.

I have embedded the Jackson UStream below. His comments about Jenkins come around the 2:17 mark.

You people are idiots. He's home right now. He's not in front of an audience at a press conference. What does the vernacular have to do with it? I'm 22. Desean is my homie!

Once D-Jax is slowed he loses interest and quits just like another receiver we both had play for us...LOL

Maybe I was right last week when I said I thought he was talented but a punk. The Cowboys have found a way to stop him. It would be idiotic on their part to not respect his talent. Maybe DeSean should have thrown some praise the way of those corners instead of calling them scared. Reminds me a little of Freddy Mitchell telling the press he couldn't even name the corners on the Patriots before the Super Bowl. Why put himself in the middle of all that?

D-Jax is an a** and a punk which is even lower than a punk-a*s. But I hope he burns the Boycows.

As a Cowboys fan this stuff reminds me of our team last year. Finger pointing followed by backtracking and with trash talking. You guys are through and the tables have turned finally. Have a good off season. No reason for you to even show up.

DeSean should maybe catch a few TDs against Dallas before he bothers to tweet. Right now on the subject of the Cowpies he is all mouth.

Please, you want to find a white playmaker? He's on IR, and that's the list. Sit back and watch the hood unfold on that field. And smoking weed is not a crime, b!tching about it is.

He's a kid.....don't read too much into this....he has alot to learn about life. I like the swagger he carries.....but I don't want him half-as_ing his routes like Randy Moss!! Run them hard, DJ....don't slow down.....

If there's one person on the team that can talk some smack and go out and back it up, it's probably him. I think he's more than peeved that he hasn't shown them up yet, and wouldn't be surprised to see him blow up on Saturday night. Just don't go over the middle underneath the LB's, or you might be eating those words.
