Public betting against Eagles

Sportsbook.com has the Eagles as 3-point underdogs for Sunday's matchup against the Packers at the Linc.
And the public loves Green Bay.
According to sportsbook.com's betting trends section, 98 percent of the action is on the Packers to cover. The public is also expecting a shootout. The over/under is 47.5, and 91 percent of the site's action is on the over.
The Eagles are one of eight home underdogs in Week 1.
Meanwhile, Bodog.com sent an e-mail out yesterday with season bets for the Eagles. I went over the ones involving Kevin Kolb on Tuesday, but there are plenty of others.
The Eagles are 28/1 to win the Super Bowl. Fourteen teams in the NFL have better odds than the Eagles. The Cowboys are 9/1, the Giants are 25/1, and the Redskins rank below the Eagles at 30/1.
The Eagles are 13/1 to win the NFC and 15/4 to win the NFC East. Dallas is the favorite to win the division at 5/6. The Giants are 13/4, and the Redskins are the underdogs at 5/1.
The over/under on Eagles wins is 8.5. The over is +120, and the under is listed at -150.
Here are some of the over/unders on individual players:
LeSean McCoy rushing yards: 900
McCoy touchdowns: 7.5
DeSean Jackson receiving yards: 1,100
Jackson receptions: 75.5
Jackson receiving TDs: 8
Jackson special-teams TDs: 1
Jeremy Maclin receiving yards: 850
Maclin receptions: 60.5
Brent Celek receiving yards: 825
Celek receptions: 74.5
Trent Cole sacks: 10.5
Brandon Graham odds to win Defensive Rookie of the Year: 15/1 (seven defensive rookies have better odds)
Kevin Kolb odds to lead the NFL in passing yards: 20/1 (eight QBs have better odds; Donovan McNabb is 30/1)

Kolb will throw for more touchdowns and more yards than McNabb will this season. Bill20- Bill20 = loser.
Actually that line says Eagles. The PUBLIC LOVES Green Bay and thinks the Eagles are taking a step back. Should be a bigger line against Eagles. phillyabe
Until Kolb demonstrates that he can win, and the team as a whole plays like winners, doubt will remain. Confidence is the key and is Kolb sure of himself? The Green Bay game will tell us alot. lerze77
pack has some problems in secondary. if birds can slow the rush and give #4 time to throw-this could be an interesting game. The losing team will score close to 30. KING~out thee~KING
3 point underdogs is generous. I'd say Green Bay by 13, not because the Eagles are bad, but because we're not ready yet. The Pack will blitz the heck out of Kolb, who isn't in rhythm yet, and guys like Woodson will be ballhawking the whole game. It could easily end up 41-10. Later in the season we have a better chance. tacklinjoe
Ill take that bet BILL20, I GOT 20 ON IT ......LOL riza1976
BIRDS 30 PACKERS 25...Kolb throws for third straight 300 yard game (NFL record).....wolf. wolf 4
It's not much of a stretch to think that Kolb would throw for more yards and TDs than McNabb considering the offenses. HandNik
I totally agree that Kolb will throw more touchdown passes, just hope more than 50% are to the eagles and not opposing defenses. AsValidAsYours
Apparently the betting public did in fact watch Princess Kolb play in the preseason, man I gotta give them a lot of credit for their knowledge, they must know Kolb can't play a lick. brmorgen81

The eagles dont have a chance to win against the packers even with the injuries they have in the secondary 31-20 kk throws a pick6 to woodson the the closing minutes close but no cigar that how the season will play out 7-9 anyone want to make a bet? teebone40- Wow, look at all the experts on this board. Suckers make bets in week 1 of the season -- too much is in flux this early. Wait until every team plays a couple games before throwing away your money. jpk
