Flashback to DeSean during Notre Dame game

A play during Saturday's Notre Dame-Michigan game brought about flashbacks to DeSean Jackson's rookie season.

DeSean Jackson doesn't take the field until Sunday afternoon, but many college football fans in the Delaware Valley likely thought of the Birds' dynamic wide receiver for a few minutes on Saturday.

During the Notre Dame-Michigan game, Fighting Irish wide receiver TJ Jones caught a pass from quarterback Dayne Crist for a 53-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

But replays on NBC showed that Jones let go of the football prior to crossing the goal line, much like Jackson did in his rookie season against the Cowboys in Dallas.

The video of the Notre Dame play is embedded below. Right around the 10-second mark, you'll see Jones let go of the ball. However, the officials didn't pick up on it, and the play was not reviewed before Notre Dame kicked the extra point.

And here's a link to the Jackson play if you care to relive it.

Earlier today, I posted 15 things about the Packers, and I'll be live chatting the game from the Linc Sunday at 4:15.
