Eagles expected to work out RB Brown

Connecticut running back Donald Brown told Sirius NFL Radio that he'll take part in private workouts for the Eagles, Jets and Bengals, per profootballtalk.com.

Brown is listed at 5-foot-10, 210 pounds. He ran a 4.51 40-yard dash at the combine, fifth-best among running backs.

He had the top vertical jump among RBs and ranked second in the broad jump (if that matters to you).

Our buddy Scott Wright over at draftcountdown.com has Brown listed as his fourth-best running back.

Wright told us last week that Brown should be considered part of the top tier of running backs, along with Chris "Beanie" Wells of Ohio State; Pitt's LeSean McCoy; and Georgia's Knowshon Moreno.

ESPN.com's Mel Kiper Jr. also ranks Brown fourth among running backs.

NFL.com's Mike Mayock has Brown ranked second, saying: "great quickness, makes people miss, patient."

How early will the Eagles address running back in April's draft?

Paul Domowitch over at Eagletarian predicts it will be the Eagles' top priority.
