Eagles check out pair of CBs

It's no secret that the Eagles need to address the cornerback position this offseason, whether it's via trade, free agency or the draft.

The latest names to surface in terms of prospects are Utah State's Curtis Marsh and Southern Illinois' Korey Lindsey.  The Eagles have worked out Marsh privately, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.

Marsh (6-1, 197) made the switch from running back to cornerback in the spring of '09, playing his last two seasons on defense.

He was a second-team All-WAC selection in 2010 and ran a 4.46 40-yard dash at the combine. Per Wilson, Marsh is a second- or third-round prospect.

Lindsey, meanwhile, is also expected to visit with the Eagles, per Wilson. A two-time, first-team AP All-American, Lindsey (5-10, 194) also gained experience as a return man in college. He notched 12 interceptions in his last two seasons.

Per Wilson, Lindsey is receiving grades between the third and fifth rounds. He's also expected to visit with the Cowboys.

And finally, the Eagles have a private workout scheduled with North Carolina tight end Zack Pianalto, according to Adam Caplan of FoxSports.com.

Pianalto (6-3, 256) was the Tar Heels' leading receiver (30 catches for 311 yards) before fracturing his fibula last season. In 2009, he set a school record for receptions by a tight end with 33, and Pianalto set a school career record for tight end receptions with 94.

Described by NFL.com's scouting report as "almost chronically injured", Pianalto missed five games in '09 with a subtalar dislocation of his right foot.

Caplan expects him to be a late-round pick.

One more note: Per the Inquirer's Jeff McLane, the Eagles are holding their local day at the Novacare Complex today, where prospects from the area will work out.
