Eagles-Cowboys not the only Monday night game

The Eagles-Cowboys game won't be the NFL's only matchup on Monday nighit.

The league has moved the Ravens-Texans game to Monday night at 8:30 p.m. because of Hurricane Ike. According to profootballtalk.com, the game will be televised only regionally on CBS.

Other quick notes...

Paul Domowitch of the Daily News is scheduled to take your questions in a live chat Friday at noon so look for that on philly.com.

For Monday night's matchup, rather than the running blog, I'll be doing an in-game chat/blog. More on this in a future post.

On the football front, some notes on ex-Eagles. The Saints and Hollis Thomas have reached an agreement whereby he'll be released rather than play on injured reserve. Once Thomas recovers from triceps surgery, he'll be free to join any team.

Jeff Garcia says he could have played this weekend, but Jon Gruden's not giving him a chance, instead going with Brian Griese.

And finally, the Seahawks, who are without their top four wide receivers, have picked up Billy McMullen. I wonder if Freddie Mitchell got a phone call?
