Odds: Kolb's return, Asomugha's next team
For the second offseason in a row, there will be plenty of conversation - both locally and nationally - about the Eagles' quarterback situation.
Will Michael Vick be back? Will he get the franchise tag? Will he get a long-term deal?
And what about Kevin Kolb? Does he have a future with the Eagles? Will he sit quietly for another season as the backup? Does he have a choice?
When in doubt, it's smart to go to the people who have proven time and again that they're smarter than the rest of us: the Vegas oddsmakers.
And they think it's more likely that Kolb is somewhere other than Philadelphia in 2011.
BoDog.com released odds yesterday, and here's what they had listed for the question: Will Kolb be an Eagle for Game 1 of the 2011 regular season?
Yes (+150)
No (-200)
If you're unfamiliar with the numbers, that roughly means you have to bet $100 to win $150 if you say Yes, and you have to bet $200 to win $100 if you say No.
The same question for Vick?
Yes (-700)
No (+400)
Obviously, the numbers indicate that Vegas feels confident that Vick will be back.
What do you think? I'd say the best value would be the Yes bet on Kolb. With the offseason CBA uncertainty, I'd argue that it's more likely that he stays in 2011. I'll write much more on this in the coming weeks, but the Eagles obviously need a reliable backup if Vick's the starter, and Kolb's salary is manageable for next season.
Where will Asomugha land?
Bodog also set odds for where Nnmadi Asomugha will land in 2011. And the Eagles are on the list as the seventh-most likely team to sign him. Here are the odds:

The Asomugha conversation will undoubtedly be a hot topic among Eagles fans this offseason. Tommy Lawlor over at IgglesBlog says he wouldn't be surprised if the Birds made a run at Asomugha. And Jimmy K over at Bleeding Green Nation makes his case for the Birds to bring him in.
