Deion Sanders rips Eagles fans

Deion Sanders had some not-so-nice things to say about Eagles fans tonight after the team's 48-20 win over the Cardinals. Donovan McNabb arrived at the NFL Network's set at the Linc for a post-game interview. Many fans stayed in the stands to applaud McNabb, who threw four touchdowns in the victory. As fans chanted McNabb's name, Sanders interrupted. "Can I tell them something for you?" he said. "First of all, I would like to tell all these idiotic fans to shut-up. Don't get on his bandwagon now. You're the same guys who booed him on his first incompletion." Host Rich Eisen then asked Sanders what he thought of the Philly fans. "I can't stand them. I really can't. It's not because I was a former Cowboy because I didn't give a darn about any fans. They all hated me because I performed well," Sanders said. "But they way they treated this man from Day One, it's not justifiable. They will not treat any other quarterback in the NFL, like we said, Peyton Manning don't get treated like that. Tom Brady. And I know you [McNabb] can't say it, but I would really like on your behalf, you can take this...God bless you guys. ... "

Not-So-Prime Time sticking up for a Not-So-Top Rated Qb on a Not-So-Popular cable station. Judge the man by the quality of the company he keeps.

Giant fans booed Eli plenty from '05 thru '07, up until he won the Super Bowl. Patriot fans booed them while they were getting blown out by the Dolphins this season....it's part of playing in the northeast, where fans are full of passion & emotion. Also, Reid has taken far more grief than McNabb for their recent struggles, & rightfully so. Bottom line, turn the ball over 7 times in 7 quarters, you deserve to receive criticism....you just have to suck it up, & move forward, like he did last night. And suckups like Princess Neion need to stop rehashing it....

We hate Freon Deon because he is the most overrated superstar in history - his greatest "talent" was his speed, which allowed him to get far more credit than his complete and utter ability at basic skills like tackling would have otherwise gotten him. Oh, and his completely classless move in dumping water on McCarver for questioning his commitment to his baseball team, and lets not forget his DEFENDING Vick's dogfighting operation! This moron still doesn't get it.

Come on guys, don't get your panties in a wad because Deon spoke the truth. And all of your comments about how you wish he died/got hurt/choked on a bone just prove the point even more. I'm not sure you got the memo, but football is a game. Entertainment. And I'm certain Deon would whip all of your asses if you met in an alley. Oh yeah, GO PATRIOTS! I am so happy that a Brady-less Pats will get to the playoffs and the full strength Eagles will not.

Hey, Sox Rule, we are not full strength, also, the Sox don't rule, they lost to the team that the Phillies BEAT TO WIN THE WORLD SERIES. Also, while Deion was right, and arguably the greatest corner ever, my dead grandmother would beat him if they met in an alley. Go back to Bahston, yah chowdah head.

by reading the majority of these post guess what? Deion's correct. Alot of Philly fans are moronic. There is a thin line between being passionate & flat out stupidity. But hypocritical fans just doesn't get it. But as a transplant Philadelphian who lives in Orlando,I'll tell ya that the Philly fans down here are worse. It's like they have to uphold some silly stereotype of Philly fan. As for you Mcnabb haters, the most accurate qb in franchise history should tell you the state of QB play the Birds had before him. One more thing please do you homework, look up the stats of all the modern era qb's in the hof & guess what? Donnie's numbers are comparable if not better across the board. Ironically passer rating & here here, completion percentage. But as I like to say "stats don't lie, but they don't always tell the truth! Take it for what it's worth!

You forgot to mention the part about McNabb holding the microphone for Sanders with a big smile egging him on after "can I tell them something for you now?" It's pretty clear how much McNabb likes Philly.

The Giants spent the whole year booing Eli off the field and then he becomes SB MVP. Noone ever mentions this in the national media.
