Countdown to camp: Eagles' wide receivers
How will DeSean Jackson perform in his third season? What are fair expectations for Jeremy Maclin? I preview the Eagles' wide receiver position as we count down to camp.
Countdown to camp: Eagles' wide receivers
Sheil Kapadia, Philly.com
Every week leading up to Eagles training camp, we'll go position-by-position, previewing what to expect from the Birds at Lehigh and during the 2010 season.
This week's video with Noah Coslov of Cinesport focuses on the wide receivers.

I think any objective observer would conclude that the Eagle WRs can be among the best. Desean and Maclin are grade A talents with speed. Avant is one of the better slot receivers in the league. soulman386
i agree...and maclin was nice last year with no training camp,so he should be even better...maybe even better than jackson... stef0731

He's a masterful and powerful pitcher, while I am an excellent catcher. Kevin, I'm wide open!!! Pitch it, daddy!

Bring back T.O. hahahahaha bobf876
McNabb will miss them. bigphillydad
why did we use 2 draft picks on receiver corps if we were in such good shape. Also, I think we now have 3 or 4 TEs on a team that uses a 1-TE set 99% f the time. But how are we doing at corner, you think we could have drafted a couple (more than the 1 we drafted) of players at that position?! lerze77
without McNabb these receivers will looks much slower than their 40 time suggests...Eagles 12 - 4 with McNabb, 8 - 8 with Kolb...end of an era, so sad...welcome back eagles on the 90's...missed u guys... elixmusic
I'm really looking forward to YAC. Hit these two burners in stride and watch the fun begin. Ken B- That picture is of McCoy and Jackson, not Maclin and Jackson but nevertheless, I have always thought the best receivers were the ones who can create separation at the line. I don't see either Maclin or Jackson as that type. So I think that will hurt them in their careers. T.O. was the only receiver for the Eagles under Reid who could create separation by being more physical than any corner. I guess my point is I prefer the T. O. type receivers because I have seen the Eagles get hurt with the small type during crunch time. Just saying. BCRock
a) philly.com on the main page of sports you have a picture of DJAX & McCoy and say its Maclin and Jackson, i think you might want to get that correct.. b) @ elixmusic, obviously any new qb is going to have growing pains, but it's not like McNabb actually ever lead us to a Super Bowl victory so dont get too crazy, plus people loved the early 90's Eagles, the late 90's not so much...maybe you should learn some history while your at it Because Im Right
BCRock hit the mark. Our midgets are great when DBs play soft (which great playoff defeneses do not) and they can get open against the the tight defenses on scramble plays when the QB creates time (which doesn't look like it's happening too often with our OL and slow skinny QB). No WCO ever won a SB or had much success without at least 1 starting WR 6'2" or better. Unless AR ditches the offense and establishes a running game that will actually scare defenses even when they expect a running play, there will be plently of bruises and erratic performances from these wee fellas. barrywil
