Market for Ochocinco, Boldin
Sheil Kapadia, Philly.com
Quick wide receiver update as you digest all the Sheldon Brown news that has unfolded today.
Let's start with Chad Ochocinco. The Bengals receiver apparently recently told T.J. Houshmandzadeh that he still wants out of Cincinnati. But what's the market like for Ochocinco?
According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, there hasn't been a lot of interest. Reedy says he's hearing that no one is offering even a third-round pick for Ochocinco.
On that note, I'd like to introduce a new feature here at MTC called "If fans ran the team..."
If fans ran the team... the Eagles would trade a third-round pick for Ochocinco, draft a running back and everyone would be doing "Super Bowl" chants at Lehigh in August.
Agree or disagree?
And an Anquan Boldin note.
Some considered the Ravens the favorites to land Boldin's services, but a team source tells Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun that they are "unlikely" to make a deal unless the Cardinals ease up on their asking price of a first- and a third-round pick.
The Ravens would be willing to give up either a first- or a second-round pick, according to the article.

philly10, I was just about to post something similar to what you said. These writers have been talking about this almost every day for the past year. let it go! If/when one of them is traded, then report it. if not, report something else!!! And why in the world want they want Chad Johnson? he would be the same problem as TO. If he had a great year he would want more money. scars73- definitely worth a 3rd round pick...not much more though. and then if he acts up...good bye.
For Ocho I would do Sheldon and a 5th rounder. For Boldin how about Sheldon and a 2nd with a conditional 3rd/2nd rounder next year. USNPatriot
I'd throw in Brown for Ocho just for the heck of it. He is slow and it wasn't TO who led the league in drops it was Brown. The nerve of this guy wanting a new contract. I'd give him a new contract but with less money. bryky
I don't think the WR market will really get moving until the day before the draft, or possibly even into the first round as players start to come off the board. Until then it's all speculation, but if Arizona sees a player it really likes fall to 21 you never know what sort of deal they'd be willing to make. Love'em or hate'em, the Eagles usually manage to get at least reasonable value on trades (with the exception being the perplexing trade of Lito this offseason... still can't wrap my head around that one). By holding out, the Eagles will make it a buyer's market, not a seller's ploy.. Ocho wants out, has for years now, works well with McNabb, has some speed, good hands, can make a difference, and can be had cheap.. maybe even a draft choice leftover from the weekend..Eagles dont need 10 picks.. half of em will do.. maybe Boldin for three of em, and Brown, Now there's another deal.. Goooooo Eagles...the best off season ever...On to the Draft... Pa Bryon- The Eagles won't waste time with this one. The draft is on their board right now
