Andy Reid: 13-year-old giant

CBS showed a clip of Andy Reid as a 13 year old during Sunday's Eagles-Colts broadcast. All I can say is WOW.

Andy Reid: 13-year-old giant

Andy Reid was the biggest 13 year old in the history of mankind.

I might be a little late on this since I didn't see the broadcast live, but I just watched (in amazement) the clip that CBS showed of Reid participating in the Punt, Pass and Kick competition back in 1971.

It's posted below.

My question is this: Is it really possible that Reid was that much bigger than the rest of the 13 year olds? I remember having big kids in my class in the seventh grade, but nobody was that big.

Friend and loyal blog reader MC has a possible theory: Maybe Reid was the last competitor in his age group, and the kids behind him are from the younger age group.

Thanks to The 700 Level for the clip.

Earlier post from Monday: Were Eagles fans out of line with their reaction after the Austin Collie hit?
