As noted yesterday over at Eagletarian, Joe Banner went on Comcast SportsNet to talk about the Sheldon Brown situation.
I thought I'd deliver exactly what he said for anyone who missed it:
"DeMarcus Ware had 20 sacks this year, led the NFL, right now he's making a million dollars next year. Have you heard anything from DeMarcus Ware? Tom Brady's gonna make $14 million over the next two years. That's $7 million a year. The top-paid quarterback in the league's making 16. Have you heard anything from Tom Brady? By the way, Tom Brady's got two years left on his deal. DeMarcus Ware has one. And I could give you example upon example. He has four years left on his contract, received a very sizable signing bonus as part of the deal. That has to be factored into the value of the two years he's played under the contract this coming year, whatever it was. And that's the only reasonable way to look at it.

If you believe the words coming out of Marvin Lewis' mouth, we can all stop with the rumors and speculation about Chad Ochocinco.
The Bengals coach said today that the wide receiver will not be traded.
“I don’t know why people continue with this speculation of moving Chad,” Lewis said, per the Dayton Daily News. “I think it’s been told many times and we’ve reiterated now for I don’t know (long). But Chad is not getting moved. So we won’t speculate on any of our players. Receivers position, I don’t know that any team doesn’t go through a draft without drafting a wideout. I’m sure there will be at least 32 receivers taken by 32 teams so chances are we’ll take a wideout at some point.”

Here's a roundup of some of the mock drafts out there, with notes on who the Eagles are projected to select.
There are obviously hundreds of mock drafts online, but I tried to hand-pick the ones from some of the major sites.
With less than four days remaining, the majority of draft pundits believe Georgia running back Knowshon Moreno will be the Eagles' pick.

Quick wide receiver update as you digest all the Sheldon Brown news that has unfolded today.
Let's start with Chad Ochocinco. The Bengals receiver apparently recently told T.J. Houshmandzadeh that he still wants out of Cincinnati. But what's the market like for Ochocinco?
According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, there hasn't been a lot of interest. Reedy says he's hearing that no one is offering even a third-round pick for Ochocinco.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh has been good to us here at MTC.
Before free agency began, he went on the radio and said he would like to play in Philadelphia if the Eagles wanted him.
After the signing period started, he texted ESPN 950, expressing his interest in playing here.

Before we officially kick off draft week, there are some items I've been meaning to mention that got lost in the shuffle last week.
** When Donovan McNabb said the Eagles could use "weapons" we mentioned it non-stop for an entire offseason and beyond. Well now, with Plaxico Burress gone, it looks like Eli Manning is making a similar plea. Here's what Manning said during an ESPN interview last week, per Newsday:
"They know we have some good receivers but that we might need a No. 1 receiver . . . And I'm sure something will happen during the draft or before the draft or right near it to help us out."

Earlier this week, Paul Domowitch of the Daily News reported that Georgia running back Knowshon Moreno is the highest-rated running back on the Eagles' board.
Below are video highlights of Moreno.
Is he the RB you like the best? Donald Brown fans out there? Beanie Wells? LeSean McCoy?

As you know by now, the Eagles have acquired Bills Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters.
Reports indicate that the deal will not be finalized until the Eagles and Peters agree to terms on a new contract.
Update: ESPN.com's Tim Graham reports that Peters is currently meeting with the Eagles and talks are going so well that a deal could be announced today.

Add Jared Cook's name to the list of tight ends the Eagles could potentially be targeting in next weekend's draft.
Cook has not had an official visit with the Eagles, but said the Birds are showing interest in him.
“I met with pretty much the whole coaching staff at the combine," he told me during a phone interview last week. "They were great guys. I just got a good vibe from them when I walked in the room. They really welcomed me.”

Anquan Boldin joined Michael Irvin for a radio interview earlier today, discussing his status as a member of the Arizona Cardinals.
It was the first time (to our knowledge) that Boldin spoke publicly since Ken Whisenhunt told reporters that the team was willing to listen to trade offers for the wide receiver.
"I’m just at the point now where I just want to get it resolved in whatever manner that is," Boldin said. "For me, it’s been going on too long, and it’s way past due. I think it’s time for the situation to get resolved and then move on from there, whatever that case may be."
