New developments today in the 13th Congressional District race:

State Rep. Brendan Boyle received the endorsement of the Black Clergy of Philadelphia and Vicinity.

“We have been very impressed with Representative Boyle’s work in our community. In his time as a state lawmaker, he has demonstrated his commitment to community service,” said Rev. Terrance Griffith, president of the Black Clergy.  Griffith said Boyle "is the only candidate even talking about the importance of rebuilding urban neighborhoods."

The 13th District congressional race just got visual.

State Sen. Daylin Leach and state Rep. Brendan Boyle began airing 30-second spots on local and cable TV channels on Tuesday.

Leach's ad touts his tough upbringing in foster care and his branding as Pennsylvania's "liberal lion."

Nothing is for-sure in the criminal court system until it actually happens. But Monday’s pretrial conference in the drug-dealing case against a former Norristown defense attorney could include the announcement of a negotiated resolution.

If it happens, a deal involving former defense attorney Gregory Noonan, of Lansdale, won’t come as a surprise to many people in the county’s legal community.

This year, Noonan sent a letter to the Pennsylvania board that disciplines attorneys, offering his resignation from the state bar. The state Supreme Court accepted his offer and disbarred Noonan, who is being held in the Chester County prison.
