The cleanup continues. Here are some of the Montgomery County headlines you may have missed:

While some areas are dealing with some very real after effects from Irene this morning as in Whitemarsh and Collegeville, for others Monday was like nothing ever happened. [Inquirer]

Still, a 64-year-old East Norriton woman died while being swept away near the Wissahickon Creekduring the height of Saturday's storm. Hers is the first official death from Southeastern Pennsylvania blamed on the storm. [Inquirer]

PECO reports 11,000 in Montgomery County are still without power. The company assures though, that it's crews are working much more quickly than originally expected. And things could be worse. As of yesterday afternoon the ranks of MontCo's powerless were about 1/6th that of those in BucksCo. [Times-Herald]

And health officials across the suburbs are warning people to avoid contact with receding floodwaters whether that be for recreation or for drinking out of wells. Who knows what manner of gunk still lies beneath. [Inquirer]

And PoliticsPA.com has some breaking news on the non-Irene front. State Sen. John Rafferty Jr., long rumored to be considering a run for attorney general, made it official yesterday. Remarking to the website, he said, "I most definitely will, yes." The website says this pretty much puts the kibosh on another rumored run from a MontCo local – District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman. [PoliticsPA.com]
