Skippack Pike to close 10/15 for RR crossing work

Skippack Pike to close 10/15 for RR crossing work

Travel Deals

This just in by email, kindness of Tom Gailey at GaileyMurray Communications:

Skippack Pike between North Wales Road and Route 202 in Whitpain township will be closed to through traffic for one week starting Oct.15.

The closure will allow CSX to make upgrades to the railroad crossing on Skippack Pike just east of North Wales Road.

Residents and businesses in that stretch will have full access to their properties, but Skippack Pike will be completely closed at the railroad crossing.

Signs have been posted on Skippack Pike to alert motorists to the planned closing. Motorists should expect delays and allow extra travel time. Morris Road and Township Line Road South can be used as alternate routes.

The plan calls for repairs to be done within a week, but weather conditions could delay construction.

CSX also plans to repair the railroad crossing on Township Line Road south during the week of Nov. 19. Those repairs will force the closing of Township Line Road south.
