If you find a hand-painted ceramic wind chime hanging somewhere in Montgomery County and wonder -- what's that?
Well, that's exactly the point.
The chimes were made by residents of Blue Bell Place, a senior care facility, and have been quietly hung in public places around the county all summer. On Friday morning, the residents will hang their last batch of bells at the Wissahickon Valley Public Library in honor of Alzheimer's Awareness Month.
In large part, the project's goal is "to bring public awareness to the fact that people with the right support can and do thrive despite memory loss."
