Park hosts tour on night hoppers and crawlers

Park hosts tour on night hoppers and crawlers

Green Lane Park and Montgomery County will host a free program entitled Creatures of night: the amphibians, on Friday, March 23, at 6 p.m.

Andrew Curtis will provide a close-up look at these interesting nocturnal animals.

After a brief indoor talk, participants will go outside to a local habitat to observe frogs, toads, and salamanders.

The ground will be wet and muddy; proper shoes are a must. Participants should bring a flashlight.

A lifelong reptile and amphibian enthusiast, Curtis works as environmental group manager for H & K Group. He is board chairman for the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy, and director of the Northampton County Junior Conservation School.

Advance registration is required.
