Occupy Lansdale plans special talk on Nov. 28

Occupy Lansdale plans special talk on Nov. 28

Occupy Lansdale plans a special gathering from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, at the Railroad Pavilion near the Kugel ball, W. Main and Green Streets in Lansdale.

Organizer Jeannette L. McGinley says that despite the fact that her group has no plans for an encampment, she said: "We plan to continue this cause."

The speaker is Jim Quinn, a member of the Friends Meeting in Lower Gwynedd. Other members of the Quaker meeting will also attend, McGinley said. Quinn will speak about his beliefs "on the time line we are so carelessly traveling," MGinley said. Guitarist Bill Kane will play during breaks.

Occupy Lansdale began protesting last week. The demonstrations took the form of orderly early-evening marches in the borough. Police were briefed beforehand, McGinley said.
