For cats only, low-cost spaying 5/19

The Montgomery County SPCA is hosting an inexpensive feline Spay Day on May 19 at the SPCA’s Conshohocken shelter, 19 E. Ridge Pike.

The aim is to prevent cat overpopulation and future health problems in the furry creatures.

The following guidelines apply:

  1. Advance appointments must be made, as space is limited to 30 female cats and 40 male cats.  Call (610) 825-0111 to schedule the appointment.  If unable to keep the appointment, kindly call to cancel.
  2. All cats must have a current rabies certificate.  This certificate must be presented at time of check-in on May 19. No exceptions.
  3. All carts must be signed in between 8:30 and 9 a.m. on May 19.
  4. Each cat must be in a sturdy plastic pet carrier with towels inside.  The carrier must be clearly marked with the owner’s name, address and phone number.  One cat per carrier, please.
  5. All cats must be picked up between 4 and 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 19.  For the well-being of your cat, please do not ask us to discharge any animal prior to this time.
  6. This program is for domestic cats only.
  7. Cost for male cats is $20, female cats $25.  This must be paid at the time of drop-off; cash or check only.
