Don’t tell your pet: he is going for his rabies S-H-O-T

POSTED: Thursday, May 10, 2012, 12:16 PM

This just in from the Montgomery County Health Department:

The county will make available a series of low-cost rabies clinics. This is for people on a budget who want to immunize their pets against rabies, but at an affordable rate. The shots are suitable for dogs, cats and ferrets. The vaccine is the three-year type. Cost is $10 per shot.

The county says all pets must be leashed or in carriers. The hours are 9 to 11 a.m.

Here are the dates: June 2 at Abington Recycling Center, Florey Lane off Easton Rd. in Abington.

Then on June 9 in Collegeville Community Park, 4th & Park Ave., Collegeville.

Then another on June 16 at Encore Experiences, formerly the Harleysville Sr. Center, at 312 Alumni Ave. off Main Street in Harleysville.

And finally, June 23 in Burnside Oakland Park, Burnside Ave. and Oakland Rd., West Norriton.
