The redesigned gets an award from the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania.

County website wins state award

Remember a few months ago when we introduced you to Montgomery County's redesigned website

Well, one state association really, really likes it.  The County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania given the Award for Excellence in Website Design.

The association praised Montco for having “launched and enhanced their county’s website as a progressive move towards better communication and enhanced ways to conduct county business.”

“The building blocks of our administration have been communication, transparency and efficiency in government, and we believe that this website is vital in our administration’s efforts to live up to those objectives,” said Commissioners Chairman Josh Shapiro.

I wouldn't go as far as Shapiro, who called it "one of the finest government websites in the country," but the site is easy to navigate and the Planning Department's data portal is a data-lover's playground.
