Watoto Children's Choir touring Pa.

If you're looking for an energetic but edifying Wednesday-night activity, check out the Watoto Children's Choir, performing in Lansdale at 7 p.m.

The choir is performing across Pennsylvania this month to raise awareness about the plight of orphaned and vulnerable children in Africa.  Each child in the choir has lost one or more parents, and now lives in a Watoto Children's Village.

The performances combine music and dance in a contemporary fusion of gospel and traditional African rhythm.

All performances are free and open to the public.  In Montgomery County:

  • Nov. 14, 7 p.m. at the Family Worship Center -- 1000 Troxel Rd. in Lansdale
  • Nov. 18, 6:30 p.m. at the New Life Glenside Church -- 467 N. Easton Rd. in Glenside
  • Nov. 23, 7 p.m. at the Plymouth Valley Community Church -- 1090 Germantown Pike in Plymouth Meeting

A full tour schedule is posted at https://www.watoto.com/the-choir/see-the-choir.
