2 Montco residents chosen for women's panel

Two Montgomery County women have been selected by Gov.Tom Corbett to serve on the Pennsylvania Commission for Women.

The two are Sue Schick, chairwoman of the panel, and Janice Haahs, a member.

The commission’s mission is to develop and support economic and civic opportunities for women.

“Women will be major contributors in Pennsylvania's economic recovery, and the commission will develop and enhance strategies to support women's key leadership roles,” said Maria Montero, the panel’s executive director.
