Making the siren call item absolutely clear

Making the siren call item absolutely clear

John Fleming of Wyndmoor Hose Co. #1 writes this morning to say a caption with yesterday's blog post about the pink fire siren was misleading, so we will recraft for clarity.

Each time the siren sounds, it's to summon volunteers to a fire call, he says. At the same time, however, donors have pledged to give a set amount of money. The end amount donated will be determined by the number of times the sirens goes off during the three-month fundraising period.

The money goes to the Fox Chase Cancer Center for breast cancer research.
