Ok. So, what do we think about the style of John McCain's vice presidential running mate, Sarah Palin? This was a shock, right? What do we think about her square rimless glasses? What do we think about her beehive? How about her black suit? What do we think about the fact she is a beauty queen runner up. But doesn't she remind you of a past time? Doesn't her style say non-progressive? Does she really compare to Hillary? She's a pretty woman, but she's in need of a style makeover. Just wanted to open up the floor to Philadelphia stylistas? I know you have an opinion. I'm overwhelmed. Just tell me what you think.

OK, here we go! Let's confine ourselves to style issues, and not address politics. That said - OMG! The glasses - oh no. The suit - oh no. But what really slays me is the HAIR!!! ARGHHHHHH!!! I think there may be 'clippies' involved, even when she wears it down! I don't care that she is a past beauty pagaent (sp?) participant - but I think she looks like one. She needs serious help in the style department.

Puhleeze. We can discuss Palin's policies on political blogs. I come here to talk fashion, people, and I want to know: Was Willow Palin's dress last night (Wed) Isaac Mizrahi for Target? I liked it a lot, very Joan from Mad Men in a wholesome Alaska kind of way.

About Elizabeth Wellington
I’m a Libra so I’m all about pretty things. We of the scales sign know what we like, and our standards are high. So I can’t help but love fashion – one day I will get that Diane von Furstenberg wrap and those Christian Louboutin shoes. And fragrances? My favorite right now is Chanel Mademoiselle. As for makeup, can we say MAC? So let’s thank the Greek goddess of beauty, Aphrodite, that a true fashionista can find everything she needs right here in Philly. I’ve covered fashion here for six years, and I have traveled to New York, Los Angeles and Paris to write about local and national designers. Let me tell you, there is no place where people wear midnight Eagles green or Phillies red with such wild abandon as they do on the west side of the Ben Franklin Bridge. Sound familiar? This blog is for you.
