The Sunkist orange tie  Michelle Obama's brother Craig Robinson wore  during last night's opening festivities at the Democratic National Convention was pretty striking. What do you think?  In a sea of really boring clothes, Robinson's orange tie and contrasting black suit revealed a cool personality. It popped. This brother takes chances!  Yes, he is a college sports coach. But this tie signifies, I'm not a politician. I must say pastel ties are boring and predictable and I probably won't be able to keep up with all the red and blue ties I'll see this week and next week during the Republican National Convention. So, this hot, Crayola orange tie was worth mentioning. Guys, do you ever stray from the predictable blue checks? Would you wear an orange tie?

it's as simple as this - He's head coach of Oregon State B-Ball - their colors are black & orange - do I need to say anymore?

Mirror Image has a question, How come men can only take fashion chances when sports are involved? Point taken, Vessel!

I'd rather see the outfits Obama's brothers are wearing, how come they're not giving him introductions at the DNC????

About Elizabeth Wellington
I’m a Libra so I’m all about pretty things. We of the scales sign know what we like, and our standards are high. So I can’t help but love fashion – one day I will get that Diane von Furstenberg wrap and those Christian Louboutin shoes. And fragrances? My favorite right now is Chanel Mademoiselle. As for makeup, can we say MAC? So let’s thank the Greek goddess of beauty, Aphrodite, that a true fashionista can find everything she needs right here in Philly. I’ve covered fashion here for six years, and I have traveled to New York, Los Angeles and Paris to write about local and national designers. Let me tell you, there is no place where people wear midnight Eagles green or Phillies red with such wild abandon as they do on the west side of the Ben Franklin Bridge. Sound familiar? This blog is for you.
