Lucky Magazine Ranks Philadelphia Nation's 14th Best City To Shop

Tuesday  morning Lucky Magazine released its top 25 cities in the country to shop.  See the entire list, here

Philadelphia is No. 14.

I love Lucky Magazine, but darn it we could have broken in to the top half, at least. We have some absolutely great shopping here from Anthropologie to Third Street Habit.

Nonetheless, the glossy granddames of high and low fashion had this to say about  the Philadelphia shopping experience.

Why We Love It: Most malls and shopping centers are a highway's drive away, making the city itself a haven for pockets of small boutique shopping. Also, there's no sales tax on clothing.

Places to Try: Joan Shepp (for avant garde lines like Rick Owens, Balenciaga); Arcadia (for Swedish Hasbeens clogs and James Jeans); Knitwit (for Equipment bloues and 3.1 Phillip Lim separates); Kimberly Boutique (for casual Susana Monaco Dresses and Twelfth St by Cynthia Vincent sandals)

Kudos Joan Shepp, Kimberly and Arcadia for their stylish shout outs.

It's no surprise that New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco were in the top 3, respectively. But we got beat out by Seattle and Portland and Atlanta. I know Philly shopping is better than that.

Oh Well.

Next year I know we'll do better.
