Jennifer Aniston Has No Love for Iconic Layered Haircut? We Aren't Buying It.

Actress Jennifer Aniston said in an article for the February Allure magazine that her famous "Rachel" haircut (pictured above) was her least favorite look, ever.

She was quoted as saying: "I think it was the ugliest haircut I’ve ever seen. What I really want to know is, how did that thing have legs? Let’s just say I’m not a fan of short, layered cuts on my personally, so I don’t love revisiting that particular era.”

Come on, seriously? This was probably the hottest haircut of late 90s and early millennium. This look made soccer moms cool. It was a unifier:  black women, white women, Asian women. All women wore this cut. I had my locs cut into layers to recreate this look. And that haircut - probably more than her bland, yet amusing acting - made her a star. (Yeah, I said it.)

This month,  Aniston's hair is nearly white blond and she's rocking a heavy, heavy bang. Apparently the short bags we cut into our hair last spring are now hot again as big, Bohemian fringes. (Please click on slide show.)  But that's another blog.  Personally, I think this is just fashion hyperbole.  After all, she wore that Rachel cut for years,  just like we did...

About this blog

I’m a Libra so I’m all about pretty things. We of the scales sign know what we like, and our standards are high.

So I can’t help but love fashion – one day I will get that Diane von Furstenberg wrap and those Christian Louboutin shoes.

And fragrances? My favorite right now is Chanel Mademoiselle. As for makeup, can we say MAC?

So let’s thank the Greek goddess of beauty, Aphrodite, that a true fashionista can find everything she needs right here in Philly.

I’ve covered fashion here for six years, and I have traveled to New York, Los Angeles and Paris to write about local and national designers. Let me tell you, there is no place where people wear midnight Eagles green or Phillies red with such wild abandon as they do on the west side of the Ben Franklin Bridge.

Sound familiar? This blog is for you.
