Wow! Hillary wore a strong color and gave a strong speech!
Ask my family and they'll tell you I'm a fan of orange. That must be why I think that Hilary looked fantabulous in her beautiful, bright suit last night. She made a bold, confident fashion statement. We all know it's not easy to wear  orange, still in her suit - which is being described as harvest orange - cut a really nice silhouette.  I'd criticized her for looking dumpy in the past because those solid, iridescent suits made her look dumpy. But last night her look was crisp in the simply cut ensemble that reminded me of a sunset at dusk. (And I don't think it's because she's a new head coach at Oregon State...) What do you think? Do you like Hillary in orange, or like a friend of mine, did you lament over her resemblance to a pumpkin?

Orange makes me think if Dutch politics. The Orange revolution was a socialist European wealth redistribution movement that plays better in Europe than in the states. Because of it's high tax Euro political implications, I'd advise Dems to stay away from the color. A better color for blonde Hill is a pale yellow like Daffodil. Orange is too ruddy for her. Navy accents for the shoes or heels, and sorry Hill that you hate heels. So do I. But find the best mid size heels that are custom made for your feet so you can be comfortable and have that length. We love Hillary, but the seventies pantsuit is not her most flattering look. Black only if pantsuits are her thing, or a khaki pant with navy jacket and scarf thing. But solid orange pantsuit? Leave that for James Brown.

CleanupPhilly, you are funny! But wrong. She looked great in that suit. It was as vibrant as her speech; it fit perfectly. The color was perfect for late summer; and her understated makeup and accessories were on point. She came across as a winner. And, for the record, James Brown would have worn a jumpsuit.

Hillary was stunning last night. She shined and stole the spotlight!

Orange reminds me of Home Depot.

I loved the color, and the suit gave her a beautiful long line and the color popped against that blue background. My one complaint is the total monochrome look. I would have done something slightly different under the jacket.

Please. It's Persian Melon. I thought she looked stunning. And her speech was masterful. Of course, if she were a guy, would we be critiquing the outfit?

Orange pantsuit screams prison jumpsuit to me.

Hillary looked as good as her speech, (on point) I only wish she'd wear a dress sometime. Nothing wrong with wearing one once in a while.

I thought she looked great. Though, she could have used some navy accents to break it up a bit=. Oh, those poor shoes though, flats are fine, even a mid-heel, but she could have jazzed them up a bit...something not so tan. Overall, a nice change from the frump she was sporting a few months back.

@voiceofreason I have a feeling that if Mark Warner had delivered his speech in an orange pantsuit, we'd probably be talking about it.

I agree with those who think Hillary looked great in this color. Also - I think the pantsuits are fine. My issues with Hillary are that she seems to be under the impression that a) she looks good in ALL colors, and b)all colors are appropriate in all seasons. Review the campaign....

About Elizabeth Wellington
I’m a Libra so I’m all about pretty things. We of the scales sign know what we like, and our standards are high. So I can’t help but love fashion – one day I will get that Diane von Furstenberg wrap and those Christian Louboutin shoes. And fragrances? My favorite right now is Chanel Mademoiselle. As for makeup, can we say MAC? So let’s thank the Greek goddess of beauty, Aphrodite, that a true fashionista can find everything she needs right here in Philly. I’ve covered fashion here for six years, and I have traveled to New York, Los Angeles and Paris to write about local and national designers. Let me tell you, there is no place where people wear midnight Eagles green or Phillies red with such wild abandon as they do on the west side of the Ben Franklin Bridge. Sound familiar? This blog is for you.
