Cheryl Ann Wadlington is at it again. The fashion journalist and lady-about-town is hosting her second  annual benefit and fashion show this Friday to raise money for Wadlington's  non-profit project, Evoluer. Evoluer is a Philadelphia-based program that helps slightly-rough-around-the-edges city girls evolve into fabulous women.

The event is called Pret a Porter will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.  at the Painted Bride Arts Center located at 230 Vine Street in Old City.  Celebrity guests expected to come include Sarah Dash of LaBelle, designer Loris Diran and The Honorable Jennifer Smith. Local designer Melanie Brandon will show case her spring 2010 collection, Dear Labelle, under the Melani von Alexandria label - which I'm actually looking forward to see. Tickets are $50 a person and $75 at the door. For more information, contact: Jasmine Jones 215-592-8988 or 267-773-2300 or send an email to info@evoluerhouse.org

About Elizabeth Wellington
I’m a Libra so I’m all about pretty things. We of the scales sign know what we like, and our standards are high. So I can’t help but love fashion – one day I will get that Diane von Furstenberg wrap and those Christian Louboutin shoes. And fragrances? My favorite right now is Chanel Mademoiselle. As for makeup, can we say MAC? So let’s thank the Greek goddess of beauty, Aphrodite, that a true fashionista can find everything she needs right here in Philly. I’ve covered fashion here for six years, and I have traveled to New York, Los Angeles and Paris to write about local and national designers. Let me tell you, there is no place where people wear midnight Eagles green or Phillies red with such wild abandon as they do on the west side of the Ben Franklin Bridge. Sound familiar? This blog is for you.
