Ten-year-old model French model, Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau is gaining world wide attention.
It's just that this attention is so not appropriate for a 10-year-old. Would you agree?
Nonetheless, the little girl with decked out in what could be too much glitter, glam and gold lame for a 25-year old is on the cover of the September issue of French Vogue.
We could go on and on about the appropriateness of this? We can talk forever about how images in fashion are detrimental to women and children? Does anybody remember Jonbenet Ramsey?
We could also chat incessantly about the aspirational nature of fashion. If that is the case, I want to know why would a 10-year-old dipped in so much makeup would be even slightly aspirational for grown women? Who thinks this is cute? I just can't get with it at all. What do you think?
For the record, I feel the same about Willow Smith.
