Brad Furman Lands Schwarzegger, Lots of Publicty For New Movie

Lafayette Hill native Brad Furman ("The Lincoln Lawyer") and his next movie "Cry Macho" are suddenly on hold, thanks to notoriety surrounding his leading man, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Schwarzenegger's office just issued a statement saying he's backing away from movie projects to focus on family. No, he didn't say which family.

"Cry Macho" producers announced a week ago that they'd landed Arnold Schwarzenegger for the lead. Since then Arnold's marriage has collapsed amid reports he'd fathered a child with his latina housekeeper.

Schwarzenegger's reported role in "Cry Macho" -- a Texas horse trainer who gets involved in border intrique, and in the process falls in love with a Mexican woman. Art imitates TMZ.

Furman, by the way, wrote the script. Arnold is scheduled to make $12 milllion.
