Navy SEALS, Bin Laden stories in the works

POSTED: Monday, May 2, 2011, 1:42 PM

Nobody could have been more gobsmacked by the Osama Bin Laden assassination that Academy Award Kathryn Bigelow ("Hurt Locker") who was working on a Bin Laden assassination movie when the news broke.

The project was to have been called "Kill Bin Laden," and was a  speculative work of fiction. In the words of the Hollywood Reporter, get me re-write. The screenwriter is Mark Boal, Bigelow's collaborator on "Hurt Locker."

And a book called "SEAL Team Six," about the very team that managed to kill the world's most wanted terrorist, is due to hit stores May 24.  The book was finished last year. The timing strictly coincidental, if serendipitious.

Show Your Gratitude...send the Navy SEALs a postcard:
    Navy UDT-SEAL Museum
    Place page
    3300 North Highway A1a
    Fort Pierce, FL 34949-8520
    ...
Though working in secret & seeking no glory, they richly deserve our thanks—so let’s give it to them. It would be so awesome to build a mountain of thank you cards from their fellow Americans (and people from all nations). Please take a moment to write two little words that could mean so much. Tell our finest '"thank you."

And please pass this on to anyone you know who is grateful for what the SEALs have done in the War on Terror and who would take the time to say thanks.
