Wish I Could Be Like David Wax

Fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa. No, wait: That's "David Watts," the Kinks creation who leads the school team to victory and takes his exams and passes the lot. Today we're talking about David Wax, who leads his anything but inert David Wax Museum into the Tin Angel for a late show tonight. Wax - that's him, with Suz Slezak - is a Harvard grad folkie whose time spent living in Mexico has given his folk song stylings a necessary swift kick, and a taste of donkey-jaw syncopation  to boot. Live, the Wax Museum is known to throw a first class hootenanny. My preview from the Inquirer Weekend section is here. Below, they wake up the Newport Folk Festival with "Unfruitful."
