Where Is MGMT?

Brooklyn alt-pop duo MGMT will put on "an extraordinary event" somewhere in Philadelphia today. And where exactly will special occasion, which not be a show but "something else," according to a band spokesperson, actually occur? I'm sure I don't know.

But fans who are curious, and up for a wild goose chase, can check in at 2:30 this afternoon at Whereismgmt.com or check the "Time To Pretend" band's Twitter feed at that time, and a clue to what's going on will be revealed. "Fans will be given an hour to show up, but they must come quickly because there are only a limited number of spots for the adventure that lies ahead," says the tantalizing tease. The clue will lead to a MGMT van, where treasures will await. Yes, the duo of Andrew Vanwyngarden and Ben Goldwasser have a new album to promote: Congratulations is due April 13. Details here.
