Watch: Fiona Apple & The Roots do Paul McCartney's 'Let Me Roll It'

Fiona Apple's spectacularly good The Idler Wheel ... is out today. My review of the album from Sunday's Inquirer A & E section is here. Last night, Apple was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, where she sang The Idler Wheel's "Anything We Want" with The Roots, then offered an extra treat cover of Paul's McCartney & Wings' "Let Me Roll It."

Fiona Apple's spectacularly good The Idler Wheel ... is out today. My review of the album from Sunday's Inquirer A & E section is here. Last night, Apple was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, where she sang The Idler Wheel's "Anything We Want" with The Roots, then offered an extra treat cover of Paul's McCartney & Wings' "Let Me Roll It" on the first day of Macca's septuagenerian-ness. "Happy birthday, Paul McCartney," she says at the end. "I love you!"

Watch both performances below. Apple plays the Tower Theater next Wednesday June 27.
